The Mark!Set!Go! Gold & Silver Fingerboard Tapes: Teachers Pack were developed by Pearl Jones so both teachers and students can have a convenient way to mark finger positions on their instrument. No longer search for scissors. These gold & silver precut glossy strips easily lift off and no time is wasted trying to remove their backing. These gold & silver colored tapes are 2″ long by 3/16th” wide and fit all sizes of violins and violas and there’s enough for 12 instruments. Precut felt adhesive squares are included. The squares can be used to mark thumb position placements as well, if desired.

This violin is ideal for the budding musician. It is a beautiful antique style full size Violin. It includes a genuine horse hair wood bow, rosin and a featherweight carrying case. Accessory colors/style may vary. Comes with an Austin Bazaar product guide. Here are some hints to help keep your violin in tune: 1. Although the violins come with a bridge, it is not installed. Installing a bridge is not difficult, but if you have a problem, please email us. The bridge has to be installed for the violin to play correctly. 2. Strings do tend to slip and lose their tune on a new violin because they need to stretch. If this happens, just give it time. The strings just need time to settle in. 3. If the violin pegs keep slipping, try to push the peg in while turning it. If they still dont stay in, peg drops are available at most music stores. They are relatively inexpensive and should help the pegs stay in. 4. If a strand of hair breaks on the bow, take a pair of nail clippers and cut it from the frog (bottom of the bow) or the top of the bow. A few hairs are bound to fall out with play. Remember to rub a little rosin (included) on the bow before playing. This is a great violin to get started with. And at this price it is an unbeatable value.

Dominant series violin strings are one of the most widely-used synthetic strings. A highly flexible, multi-strand nylon core makes these comparable in sound and feel to natural gut. The E string is aluminum/steel or plain steel, ball or loop end.

The SUZUKI METHOD of Talent Education is based on Dr. Shinichi Suzuki’s view that every child is born with ability, and that man is the son of his environment. According to Dr. Suzuki, a world-renowned violinist and teacher, the greatest joy an adult can know comes from developing a child’s potential so he/she can express all that is harmonious and best in human beings. Students are taught using the mother-tongue approach. Suzuki Violin School Materials include: Violin Parts (Vol. 1-10) * Piano Accompaniments (Vol. 1-10) * Cassettes (Vol. 1-3 performed by Shinichi Suzuki, Vol. 4-8 performed by Koji Toyoda) * Compact Discs (Vol. 5-8, performed by Koji Toyoda) * David Cerone Performs Suzuki Violin School (Cassettes & Compact Discs, Vol. 1-4) * David Nadien Performs Suzuki Violin School (Cassettes and Compact Discs, Vol. 1-4).
